I am a director, dramaturg, and creative producer committed to theatre as a uniquely human gathering—an art form that creates presence, connection, and shared experience in a world that increasingly pulls us apart. I specialize in new work development and trans and queer performance, building collaborative processes grounded in care, clarity, and artistic rigor. My work is driven by a belief that live performance matters both to communities and in its own right: it is rare, unrepeatable, and deeply alive, offering something no other medium can replicate. Across a decade of directing, producing, and community-based programming—from founding TransTheatreFest to contributing to Forward Theater’s artistic strategy—I have worked to expand both what theatre can do and who it can reach.

The goal of Forward Theater Company and Wisconsin Wrights is to support and develop new theatrical work, via a biennial new play festival that features up to three works by Wisconsin playwrights. After a submission and selection process, selected playwrights communicate with professional directors, dramaturgs, and actors to develop their plays, culminating in public readings at the festival. Each night is dedicated to a single play.
